Cookie Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Home Income Search ("We", "Us", "Our") actually sets, and why. Every cookie We set is first-party, has a job, and is listed here.
What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small piece of data a website stores in Your browser so it can recognize You between page loads or visits. Cookies set by the site You are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other companies through that site are third-party cookies, and they are the mechanism behind most cross-site ad tracking.
Cookies on This Site
- Session cookie. Set so forms work and so a signed-in administrator stays signed in. It contains a random identifier only, no personal information.
- Visitor identifier. Our own first-party analytics script sets an identifier (a cookie and/or local storage entry) so We can recognize a returning visit to this site and connect it to Your account once You create one. It does not follow You across other websites, and it is never used to build cross-site advertising profiles. It honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: when GPC is enabled, no visitor analytics are collected.
- Theme preference. Remembers whether You chose light or dark mode.
- Privacy choice. Set when You submit the Your Privacy Choices form, so this browser stays opted out of visitor identification.
That is the complete list of cookies We set. We set no advertising cookies. Apart from the visitor identification script described below and any code it loads from its provider's own partners, the only third-party code on this site runs on the sign-up form, is listed in the next section, and exists to stop bots and to prove Your consent, never to advertise to You or follow You elsewhere. When You accept a match and open a Partner's site, that site sets its own cookies under its own policy.
Third-Party Scripts on the Sign-Up Form
The sign-up form loads Cloudflare Turnstile. Each is loaded only on that form, only while We have it switched on, and this page changes the moment that changes.
- Cloudflare Turnstile. A script from Cloudflare that runs a quiet check to tell people from bots when You submit the sign-up form, in place of a captcha puzzle. Cloudflare may store a short-lived token in Your browser to complete that check. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not use the check to track You across websites. Cloudflare's own privacy policy governs its processing.
Visitor Identification
Outside Our legal pages, this site loads a script from an identity-resolution provider. It, and code it may load from the provider's own partners, may set cookies or similar identifiers and use them, with Your IP address and browser information, to recognize a returning visitor and tell Us who is visiting. It is not loaded for browsers that send the Global Privacy Control signal, or in a browser that has submitted Our Your Privacy Choices form.
Managing Cookies
Every major browser lets You view, block, and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking the session cookie will stop forms from submitting; everything else on this site keeps working. You can also enable GPC in a supporting browser to opt out of analytics collection entirely.
Changes to This Policy
If We add or change a cookie or a script, We will update this page and the date at the top. We will not quietly add tracking that this policy does not describe.
